All-NEW FORD KUGA
Beautifully designed, remarkably efficient, more than capable. As part of Ford’s commitment to electrifying our range, the New Kuga is available in Plug-in Hybrid. Ford’s advanced hybrid technology is designed to deliver a cleaner, quieter, more sophisticated approach to hybrid SUV driving. Equally as sophisticated, the Kuga EcoBlue Diesel (FWD and AWD) offer advanced non-hybrid engine options. The choice is yours.
A seamless blend of petrol and electric power
Kuga’s advanced Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technology combines a battery-powered electric motor with a 2.5-litre Duratec petrol engine. The hybrid battery can be recharged at home or public charging stations. Energy recaptured while braking also helps charge the battery as you drive. Fully charged, the Kuga PHEV can drive up to 56km§ on electric power alone, and a total hybrid driving range of up to 748 Km.
The best of both worlds
Wherever the destination, the All-New Kuga Plug-in Hybrid uses two sources of power to get you there more efficiently. An advanced electric powertrain lets you make shorter trips of up to 56 km on zero emissions§ and can recharge anywhere you have access to mains power. For longer journeys, the conventional combustion engine ensures you can go as far as you need to, using powersplit technology to help recharge the Hybrid battery as you drive. While energy captured through regenerative braking also helps to extend your electric range even further.
[§]Kuga PHEV has a battery size of 14.4kWh which gives a maximum all electric range of 56 KM (range may vary depending on the vehicle, weather conditions and driving behaviour). Quoted WLTP Figures with options represent the weighted electric-petrol fuel consumption.
